Lucky House Restaurant Reviews
Owner is friendly and easy to approach. Ordered my spicy garlic chicken which is my favorite. I have been going to this place for the for 3 years! I recommend this place because it's better than Panda Express, but at times the hours are different of open/closing and most of the time it's order to go.
I was introduced to Lucky House last year through a previous employer and I have to say that they've become a Chinese restaurant that I am quite fond of. The man who owns and runs the restaurant is extremely nice and they offer speedy service. The restaurant is not open for dine it but they offer takeout. I threw a party in June and ordered their party tray of chicken wings--those were the first to go. Everyone enjoyed them and in hindsight, I should've ordered 2 party trays. Having ordered from them multiple times, I can say that their food is always delicious and fresh. This time around, I ordered 2 servings of their potstickers and 1 serving of their chicken wings appetizer. The wings were crispy and flavorful and the potstickers were crispy but soft at the same time.
Food was fresh here and decently priced. Especially for San Francisco prices. The food was also good, we went in here ordering kind of last minute since we didn't check hours and the staff was super friendly and still thanked us for coming in. I didn't get any pictures since we devoured the food, but would recommend coming here.
All I can say is yum! Lucky House Restaurant is conveniently located across the street from the newly renovated Brisbane Library. Lucky House is take out only but don't let that deter you - the food was quickly made & piping hot when I got it. The prices are better than most other restaurants in the area and the food tasted wonderful. I got the Chicken Chow Fun which came with a huge portion of chicken, egg, vegetables, and rice noodles. Additionally, the two people I saw visibly working were incredibly kind. I will certainly be back!
I recently stumbled upon this hidden gem in Brisbane, a bit off the beaten path from the rest of the city. The restaurant offers a solid range of Cantonese style dishes, hearty soups, rice plates, and lunch specials. While it's a takeout only spot and cash only (which can be a minor hassle), it's a common trait for many Chinese restaurants. . The food is consistently fresh, piping hot, and cooked with the unmistakable intensity of a Chinese jet burner and wok. The seasoning is spot on, balanced and not overly salty. While most dishes shine, the Beijing-style pork, for instance, felt more Westernized than authentic. It was a bit on the sweeter side with not enough of that signature tangy vinegar. That said, the menu leans more toward Western Chinese cuisine, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, everything still tastes great. What really stands out here is the value. Most dishes are under $15 after tax, making it a steal for the generous portions. For the best experience, I highly recommend their crispy deep fried options and the classics like beef chow fun. You won't leave hungry or disappointed.
